Workflows shared on codycody.com — from the community gallery or a link someone sent you — import in one step. Nothing is created before you have seen every step, and nothing runs before you publish it.
Three ways to import
- Open in your engine. On the workflow's page, click Open in your engine. It opens the Import Shared page of the engine on this computer (
http://localhost:3001/import), which shows the preview. - Ask your coding agent. Paste the prompt from the workflow's page. The agent uses
ccw_import_workflow: it shows you the steps and every shell command, and imports only after you say yes. - Paste the link. In the engine, open Import Shared in the sidebar and paste the workflow's link.
What you see first
The preview lists every step, shows each shell command in full, and warns when the workflow runs commands on your machine or starts workflows your engine does not have. Only links on codycody.com are accepted.
After the import
The workflow is created as a draft in the community folder (you can pick another). Open it in the editor, read it, and publish it — only a published workflow can be started with ccw_start. The import is counted once per license on the workflow's page.
Which plan runs it
Publishing is Pro and up, so running a community workflow needs Pro. Starter can import one and tweak it, not publish it. Every workflow page offers a free 14-day Pro trial; when it ends, your engine moves back to Starter and keeps all its data. A workflow that uses one of CodyCody's packages also needs the plan that includes that package — its page says which.
Community workflows are shared by members and are not supported by CodyCody. To publish your own, see Share a workflow.
